A gift voucher from Svalbard Photography AS is an invitation to experience the landscapes, wildlife, history and atmosphere of the High Arctic.

Gift vouchers may be used towards eligible tours and experiences operated directly by Svalbard Photography AS. They are suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, special occasions, employee rewards and corporate gifts.

Choose a value or experience

A voucher can normally be issued for a specific monetary value or for an agreed tour or private experience.

Where a voucher is issued for a particular activity, the booking remains subject to availability, season, weather, operating conditions and any participation requirements applicable to that experience.

How to order

1. Contact us with the preferred voucher value or requested experience.
2. Provide the recipient’s name and any personal message you would like included.
3. Tell us whether the voucher is intended for a specific occasion or delivery date.
4. We confirm the voucher details, validity period, conditions and payment information.
5. Once payment has been received, the gift voucher is issued electronically.

Using a gift voucher

The recipient must contact Svalbard Photography AS before travelling to request an available date and confirm the preferred experience.

A gift voucher does not itself guarantee space on a specific departure, date or activity. Reservations are only confirmed after written confirmation from Svalbard Photography AS.

When making a reservation, the recipient should provide the voucher number, preferred travel date, number of participants and any relevant practical information.

Validity period

The validity period is stated on the individual voucher and begins on the date indicated on the voucher.

The recipient is responsible for contacting us and requesting a booking before the voucher expires. Availability close to the expiry date cannot be guaranteed.

Availability and operating conditions

All tours and activities remain subject to availability, seasonal conditions, weather, safety considerations, transport capacity and operational requirements.

Some activities may only be available during a particular season. Wildlife sightings, specific weather conditions and natural phenomena cannot be guaranteed.

Voucher value and additional payment

• If the selected activity costs more than the available voucher value, the remaining balance must be paid before the booking is confirmed.
• If the selected activity costs less than the voucher value, any remaining balance will be handled according to the conditions stated on the voucher.
• A voucher cannot normally be exchanged for cash or refunded in cash, unless required by applicable law.
• A voucher may not be resold or used for commercial purposes without prior written approval.

Changes and cancellations

Once a tour or activity has been reserved using a gift voucher, the booking is subject to the cancellation and amendment conditions applicable to that particular service.

If Svalbard Photography AS cancels an activity because of weather, safety or operational conditions, we will normally offer an alternative date, another eligible experience or reinstate the applicable voucher value.

Lost, copied or damaged vouchers

Gift vouchers should be stored securely. Lost, copied or damaged vouchers may only be replaced when the original purchase and unused voucher value can be verified.

Svalbard Photography AS may request the purchaser’s name, payment reference, issue date or other relevant information before replacing a voucher.

Transfer to another person

Unless otherwise stated on the voucher, a gift voucher may normally be transferred to another person before it has been redeemed.

Please contact us in advance if the recipient’s name should be changed.
